Comment: M57 First DSO using Canon 20D, prime focus cropped on C8N Unguided on CG5 mount. Not close to polar alignment so took only 20ses subs of total 10 (5 in this batch). No dark reduction. Initial processing on MaxDSLR and then on Paint.net Camera: Canon 20d Prime focus. Exposure: 10X 20sec Mount: CG5 Non GOTO Loaction: FluffyDuck Observatory Date/Time Aug31-1, 2007; 11:30PM-12:30AM
M051a * Another Attempt for M051 Whirlpool galaxy. It came out little better than the last time. Again 40 frames but 20sec each an by hand controllor was about to die! Because of little late at night and some of the town lights were turned off, the sky was little darker to get a better contrast at 20sec exposure rather than 30 sec. Camera MX516 on C8N-CG5, unguided. Taken early morning of 6/10/2007. * 410 x 266 * (42KB)

M097 * M3 10X25sec on MX516 Parallel port with FasterII adapter. Taken by Star_mx5 and post process in Photoshop CS & Paint.net. Mount CG-5 Non GoTo. Date: 5/13/2007 at FluffyDuck Observatory. * 500 x 372 * (118KB)

Orion * 18 frames of 20 sec @ ISO 1600 Exposure avarage of 2 dark frame substracted. Mount CG5 Non GOTO with 8N without Guiding on 17 Deg F cold evening. Camera Adapter: T-Mount converted to 2 using PVC pipe. Color Conversion on MaxDSLR & Stacking on MaxImDL with One star allignment Sigma Clip. Final Processing on Paint.Net * 2000 x 1302 * (762KB)
